Proudly Community Owned

Unlike many holiday parks, BIG4 Berri Riverside Holiday Park is proudly owned by the Berri War Memorial Community Centre, a not-for-profit community organisation.

This means that every stay makes a difference. Rather than profits being distributed to shareholders, funds generated by the park are reinvested into improving our facilities, enhancing the guest experience, and supporting the local community through sponsorships, donations, and community initiatives.

By choosing to stay with us, you’re helping support projects that benefit both visitors and the wider Riverland community.

Supporting Our Local Community

We’re passionate about giving back to the region that supports us.

Throughout the year we proudly:

• Sponsor local sporting clubs, community groups and events.
• Provide donations to local organisations and fundraising initiatives.
• Support tourism and regional events that encourage visitors to discover the Riverland.
• Work with local suppliers and businesses wherever possible, helping strengthen the local economy and create employment opportunities.
• Host Family Fun Days, welcoming the local community to enjoy complimentary access to our park facilities, along with a free sausage sizzle. These open days provide an opportunity for families to connect, enjoy quality time together, and experience everything our park has to offer.
• Invite the local community to join us every Friday evening for our complimentary Movie Night, held alongside our popular Fish & Chip Night. These weekly events bring locals and visitors together in a relaxed, family-friendly atmosphere, helping foster community connections.

Creating Inclusive Opportunities

We believe everyone deserves the opportunity to develop skills and gain valuable workplace experience.

We’re proud to partner with Novita, hosting participants on a fortnightly basis through a supported work experience program. This initiative provides meaningful opportunities for individuals to build confidence, develop practical skills, and gain experience within a real workplace environment, while enriching our team and strengthening our connection with the community.

Protecting Our Natural Environment

Situated alongside the magnificent Murray River, we’re committed to encouraging guests to experience and appreciate the natural beauty of the Riverland in environmentally responsible ways.

We promote low-impact outdoor activities that allow visitors to connect with nature, including:

• Kayak hire to explore the Murray River at a relaxed pace.
• Bike hire to discover local trails and the surrounding Riverland.
• Walking and cycling opportunities that encourage guests to leave the car behind and enjoy the region sustainably.

These experiences help guests immerse themselves in the natural environment while minimising their environmental impact.
